Ramadan 2020
Ramadan is the Muslim month of Fasting, and is scheduled on the Lunar calander and therefore does not fall on the solar calenar at the same time each year. This year, Ramadan 2020 falls between April 23rd and May 23rd.
Practicing Muslim students will be fasting from dawn until dusk (approximately 4:30am - 8:30pm - local time) for the full month. Fasting means no food and NO WATER (also no smoking). Ramadan celebrations often involve gatherings and prayers late into the night. It is not unusual to be up past midnight for prayers and then get up at 3:30-4am to eat before dawn.
We asked what you're doing to have some fun while physically distant from your DU friends. We know at least a few of you have created epic blanket forts! We want you to share them with us by giving us a video tour and submitting here. Submissions due by the end of Week 5.
