April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Each year in April, DU recognizes Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) as part of a national campaign to bring awareness to assault, provide prevention education, and build support for survivors. This year is the 21st annual SAAM. You can learn more about this month at du.edu/SAAM. Thrive Health Promotion will be sharing out information and reminders on their Instagram account @ThriveatDU. Visit the website and give us a follow to check out our monthlong list of events and find information about our programs!
We understand that for some members of our community, discussing sexual assault and survivorship may be activating. We encourage you to engage with the content as much or as little as is supportive for you. If you or someone you know has been impacted my sexual assault or gender-based violence and would like support, please reach out to confidential advocates at the Center for Advocacy, Prevention, and Empowerment (CAPE) at CAPE@du.edu.
