Student Information Sessions - Disability Services Program Transitions to New Accommodate Software
As the Disability Services Program (DSP) prepares to launch Accommodate, a new software used to manage student accommodation requests, testing, and notetaking, the DSP invites students to join us to connect and learn about the benefits and enhancements this transition brings. During each session, the DSP staff will present a general overview of Accommodate and how the transition from the current Clockwork software to Accommodate improves the student experience which will include requesting accommodations, sending your Letters of Approved Accommodations (LOAA’s), notetaker upload/download portal for lecture notes, and requests to take tests in the DSP Testing Center. After the presentation, the DSP staff will be available for students to ask questions and provide feedback about the system.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable individuals of all abilities to engage fully. We will provide live closed captioning for all sessions. If you would like to request additional accommodations for any of the sessions, please email dsp@du.edu. If you have questions, please call 303-871-3241 or email us at dsp@du.edu.

New Class Teaches Video Production for Social Media
Starting in Fall 2021, the Department of Media, Film & Journalism Studies is introducing a new class that will allow any DU student, regardless of major, to learn how to create video content for social media. The class will combine video production and storytelling skills with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
Using mobile phones and other readily available technological tools, students will learn to create video content that can be shared across social media platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, among others. As they enrich their technical skills, students will also explore how video storytelling can be used in service of the public good.
