Want to sing with us?

Exit 205 auditions are here! Every DU student is encouraged to audition, from a freshman music major to a senior who sings in the shower. We'd love to hear you sing!

What are auditions like?

When you come in to audition, we will introduce ourselves to you, then you will introduce yourself to us. We'll ask you some questions, have you do some warm-ups to test your range, then you'll sing what you've prepared for us.

What should I prepare for my audition?

All you need is a verse and a chorus of one song. Genre and song choice are completely up to you; choose a song that highlights your strengths and that you love to sing!

Beatboxers: Prepare 30 to 60 seconds of one song to beatbox along to!

What happens after I audition?

After everyone has auditioned, the group will deliberate and decide who to invite back for callbacks. At callbacks, you will learn a song with your fellow auditionees and sing with the group. After callbacks, we'll make our final decisions!

How often does Exit 205 rehearse?

Exit rehearses six hours per week over three two-hour sessions. Days and times are decided based on member availability.

When/where are auditions?

This year, auditions will be on September 15th, 16th, 18th, and 19th, with callbacks on September 20th! Auditions will be held in Lamont 214.
