Happy Tampers will be running a sustainable menstrual product giveaway. We will be giving away menstrual cups, period underwear, and reusable pads to students for FREE! The giveaway will take place in Spring 2023 and info on how to enter will come soon!

Below, you'll find information about each of the product options, how they work, and the pros and cons of each

Fill out our order form

Once you've decided which option is best from you, you'll fill out our order form below to let us know. We will make orders directly with the brands and receive shipments of everyone's products.

Pick up your products

Once the orders are in, we'll have scheduled times for you to pick up your products from us on campus. The location will be at the new Community Commons, dates and times TBD below.

Engage with us for support

We want to make sure you have all the information you need to use your new products because there can be a bit of a learning curve for some of them. You can come to our virtual workshops, submit questions anonymously, and reach out individually for support.

Meet the products

For this giveaway, you can choose from the following:

  1. A menstrual cup (comes with a cotton drawsting bag for storage and a soap for cleaning)
  2. Period underwear (you get 3 pairs)
  3. Reusable cloth pads or liners (you get 4)

We are offering the Saalt Cup as well as the Saalt Soft Cup (which is good for those with bladder sensitivity, cramping, or those who experience discomfort with firmer cups). Both are available in a small size (good for people who have trouble with insertion or who are petite), and a regular size (good for people with a heavier flow or who have carried pregnancies to term).

Benefits:

  • Lower risk for TSS than absorbent products
  • Lasts up to 10 years (saves you $$ and prevents waste)
  • Naturally hypoallergenic and toxin-free - no BPA, latex, or chemicals
  • May relieve pain and discomfort
  • Convenient - you may only need to empty your cup every 12 hours
  • Discreet

Potential Problem Areas:

  • Requires comfort with insertion and touching your body
  • You will have to see and touch your blood
  • There can be a learning curve for insertion and getting it in the right spot

  • Last for 2-10 years (saves you $$ and prevents waste)
  • Made with organic cotton and toxin-free
  • Convenient - absorbs an 8-hour day of heavy bleeding
  • Discreet

Potential Problem Areas:

  • There may be a bit of a smell, but it shouldn't carry
  • Need to be laundered between uses
  • For those with a very heavy flow, you may need to change them during the day

Lastly, we're offering all styles of Party in my Pants pads and liners. You select the type of pads and material (cotton or flannel). Unfortunately we cannot take specific pattern requests.

  • Some people don't feel comfortable wearing pads - due to the feel or being able to see them through clothing
  • There may be a bit of a smell, but it shouldn't carry

  • For those with very heavy flows, you may need to change them during the day

How long can I use my period panties?

This depends on your flow! They can be worn for about 8 hours on average for a heavier flow day. If you have a heavier flow, you may need to change sooner, and with a lighter flow you may be able to last a full 24 hours. We recommend not exceeding 24 hours between changes

When do I know they're full?

If you have any leaking, your undies probably just surpassed their full point. It will become intuitive with practice, but when the padding starts to feel a bit heavy or like it's not absorbing anymore, they are likely full!

How do I know if they're clean after hand washing?

When hand washing, you know they're clean if the water runs clear when you ring them out and if there isn't any residue left visibly on the surface
