About Us

The purpose of the University of Denver Hedge Fund Club is to provide a medium for the interaction of all those interested in hedge funds and finance. The Club strives to go one step beyond the classroom in terms of learning what managing hedge funds really constitutes by organizing speakers and social interaction between students and faculty. It is a resource for connecting students throughout their education in and out of the classroom. Our mission is to articulate basic topics and strategies for managing hedge funds, speak about current and recent news regarding hedge fund investments, encourage hands on learning through the management of simulated portfolios, and stimulate professional development through online and in person speakers and information sessions. We will at first start with basic concepts such as valuing and managing mock assets and graduate to managing a mock hedge fund by the end of the year.
