USG Elections

Voting for USG Closes at 11:59PM TONIGHT!

Voting closes tonight at 11:59pm for several 2026-27 DU Undergraduate Student Government Senator positions!
Please Note: If you are part of constituencies for which USG already has seated senators, or for which no candidates are running, you will not see a ballot that you can vote on.
If you receive a ballot that does not include the appropriate class or school senator option for you (for example if you should be voting for the First Year Senator roles but do not see them as an option on your ballot), email your vote to usgelections@du.edu and include: your First & Last Name your DU ID number (87…….), and the name(s) of the individuals you wish to vote for. You will only see candidates representing your first major as listed in Banner if there are candidates running to represent that particular school.
If you have any questions, please contact us at usgelections@du.edu. We appreciate your taking the time to share your voice and look forward to meeting our future USG leaders!

Other News & Updates from Around Campus

Changes at the Community Commons

There have been many changes to the Community Commons from last year. The Community Commons (CCOM) Welcome Desk has transformed into the Community Connections Hub!

  • The Community Connections Hub - is a one-stop hub for student resources related to event planning (including rentable event items), event hosting, RSO business operations, ID Card services, opportunities for fun and more! We are located on the first floor of the Community Commons in the center of the building. Come by to say hello and learn more.

  • Oasis Space (CCOM 2700) - The Community Commons has converted the 2700 balcony into an Oasis Space. For those not familiar with what an Oasis Space is, it is a place where students can go and unwind or decompress without a reservation needed. The CCOM 2700 Oasis Space offers coloring books, origami, singing bowls, fidget toys, self-care and motivation support cards and more! The CCOM 2700 Oasis Space will be open when events are not being hosted in 1700, so pay attention to the door signs which will let you know when we are open. To preserve the integrity of this space, we kindly ask that no food or drinks beside water are brought into the room. Hope to see you there relaxing soon.

  • Combined Student Study Lounge (3800) & Rec Lounge (3600) - Thanks to the support of Undergraduate Student Government and Graduate Student Government, we have repurposed the former Undergraduate Student Lounge and the Graduate Student Lounge. CCOM 3800 is now an All-Student Study Lounge; and taking the place of the former Undergraduate Student Lounge (CCOM 3600) is the newly created Student Recreation Lounge. With a generous gift from Undergraduate Student Government (USG), we were able to purchase PacMan Pixel Cocktail and Ping Pong, which have been added to the foosball and billiards tables that were there before. Additionally as part of the USG gift, Air Hockey will be added soon, and MarioKart will be coming around Spring Quarter. The billiards equipment can be checked out at the Community Connections Hub Desk. These games are all free play!

  • Student Government Office (CCOM 3400) - We are excited to announce the opening of the Student Government Offices, CCOM 3400. This space hosts the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), Graduate Student Government (GSG), and the Student Bar Association (SBA). The goal is to provide a collaborative space for all three student governances to work in, while centralizing these resources for students to have better access to these resources. Swing by to say hello!

  • Global Kitchen (CCOM 1400) - The Global Kitchen is available to reserve for event & philanthropic support or general use. The Global Kitchen offers an oven and stop top, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and plenty of counter space to be creative! Cooking equipment and utensils can be reserved at the Community Connections Hub. You can reserve this space on 25Live by searching for CCOM 1400 or stop by in person to see if the space is available day of.
