About Us
The purpose of this club is to give students an opportunity to become puppy-raisers, puppy-sitters, and general members to provide meaningful experiences and an accessible route to charity. It also allows students to earn community service hours and to help educate the DU community on service dogs and proper etiquette around them. Although Collar Scholars at the University of Denver is specifically affiliated with Canine Companions, all service dog teams and service dogs in training are welcome at our meetings and events.
Canine Companions® provides service dogs to disabled people and facilities like hospitals, schools, and courts completely free of charge.
