What are General Members?
General members are any people who want to join Collar Scholars! They are not required to have any interest in raising or sitting. However, general members do have similar attendance expectations to other members.
General members help support Collar Scholars and the Canine Companions mission by assisting with and leading events like fundraisers, outreach events, and social events. General members also often assist with educating the public and the DU community about the role of Canine Companions and service dogs more generally in increasing access for disabled people, as well as the importance of service dog access rights and disability accessibility. They may also simply interact with our lovely Future Service Dogs!
How do I become one?
It's easy! Either register for and attend one of our events, and one of our CrimsonConnect administrators will add you, or join our organization yourself on CrimsonConnect!
We strongly encourage you to attend at least one meeting or event before officially registering as a member. If you like what you see, feel free to join!
