Our goal for the Peer Mentorship Program is to build a community of individuals pursuing this rigorous career track who can come together and support one another through the undergraduate process. The Peer Mentorship Program is an initiative to connect current upper-class pre-health students with under-classmen who are also interested in a pre-health track at the University of Denver. Through this, we will form a more cohesive community of students who are pursuing similar health-related careers. By connecting students in various stages of their academic journey, we hope to lead the way for open one-on-one discussion and advice. Mentees and mentors can discuss any multitude of topics for a more enriching experience at DU like how to choose courses, good and bad study techniques, test-taking strategies, how to network for clinical and research opportunities, how to become a competitive applicant, how to obtain recommendation letters and so much more. We as the Pre-Health Society plan to facilitate events throughout every quarter to bring mentors and mentees together in a meaningful and fun environment. Visit the Sign-Up link under the Peer Mentorship Program dropdown to sign up! We are especially looking for pre-pharmacy mentors and pre-PT/pre-PA mentees.
