Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week at the University of Denver is an annual event designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and resources and decrease stigma related to mental health. This week is in conjunction with national Mental Health Month, which aims to eradicate mental health stigma across the nation and increase accessibility to mental health resources.
Health Promotion works with campus and community partners during this week to provide educational programming and outreach for students, as well as the greater DU community. We recognize that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals and communities are experiencing significant challenges that have a great impact on mental health. While we are unable to provide in-person activities due to physical distancing guidelines, we encourage you to participate in our virtual Mental Health Awareness Week events and learn about useful resources at du.edu/thrive or by following @ThriveatDU on Instagram.

Leadership Workshop Series: Citizen Leadership and Global Stewardship
The Office of Student Engagement is pleased to host the virtual workshop, “Citizen Leadership and Global Stewardship,” on Thursday, May 7th at 1-2:15pm on Zoom as part of a pilot Leadership Workshop Series this Spring Quarter. As part of the Developing Leadership Track, this workshop is free and open to all DU students, but geared toward students who currently identify as leaders.
As a member of any organization or group you have ability to get information, take part in decisions, and make things happen. Participants who attend Citizen Leadership and Global Stewardship will gain further understanding of citizen leadership and how you can effect change in your communities. In this session we will look at community engagement at the university-, local-, national-, and global-scale and strategies and tools for encouraging public participation.
Nominations are now open for this year's Crimson & Gold Awards until FRIDAY!
In lieu of an in-person celebration this year, we will be spotlighting award recipients throughout the last week of May and first Week of June on the @UofDenverCampus Instagram account and we encourage you to repost/share when those posts go live.
Each year, remarkable members of the University of Denver's student body, faculty and staff make significant contributions to our campus community. The Office of Student Engagement recognizes these individuals and organizations annually through several different awards.

Remote Work Tip of the Week: IDENTIFY A DAILY FOCUS
When feeling particularly overwhelmed with multiple unrelated projects happening at once, it can be helpful to set a daily focus. Identify one main thing that you want to keep your attention on for the day and everything (or most things) on your to-do list should be related to that. It'll help you get your head in the game!
Please join the DU community as we celebrate Lili Rodriguez’s time as Vice Chancellor of Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence virtually on Wednesday, May 13th from 4:15 pm- 4:45 pm.
