We seek to achieve this mission through fostering an institutional culture and inclusive

Our mission African Students United is to create a space to celebrate educate, and participate in the understanding of the many rich, diverse cultures of Africa. Through African cultural events, it will introduce multiple features of African food, dance, music, etc. This organization's purpose is to serve African students and its allies at the University of Denver to create an inclusive institution. We plan to make an impact on the outside African community through service projects, community outreach, etc. We would also like to encourage college seeking African students to seriously consider making DU their new home. This would help DU create a space where cultural diversity is present on campus. African Students United ultimately aims to make this a celebrated and appreciated identity on campus.

Alpha Phi Omega, Alpha Eta Iota Chapter, at the University of Denver is a national co-ed service fraternity organized to provide community service, leadership development, and social opportunities for college students. Since 1925 nearly 500,000 members on more than 375 campus provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization. Alpha Eta Iota chapter has been aiding in this service since chartering on the University of Denver campus in 2013. You are able to be a member of Alpha Phi Omega as well as be a member of other social Greek organizations. The mission of the University of Denver Alpine Club (DUAC) is to make outdoor adventure available to all University of Denver students, regardless of ability and/or previous outdoor experience. Through outdoor adventures, the DUAC acts as a gateway for learning about leadership skills, community, and the environment. DUAC is also a mechanism by which skills can be obtained in all areas of the outdoors, adventure, safety, guiding, or simply living and playing outside.

The DU AISES chapter is called DU American Indian Science and Engineering Society will serve as the only multicultural STEM student organizationgroup focused on closing the gaps for American Indian and Indigenous student in STEM fields. This program has an annual conference and has AISES chapters located in over 189 Tribal college and mainstream university. The representation of Native Americans in the STEM fields is less than 1%. AISES will provide peer support, career guidance and opportunities for student such as internships and programming. AISES also provides academic and cultural and social support to students who are involved and interested in STEM across in Indian Country. And ways STEM can help our Native American communities. We also do a STEM programs for the Denver Indian Community doing various labs such Star Knowledge and Navajo Ruggeometry for K-12 Native American Indian Ed programs in the local area.

The Club for Collective Liberation aims to bring together students who wish to discuss politics, activism, and ideology from a critical perspective. We also aim to support movements for social justice in the DU community. We will provide resources for education on subjects such as decolonization, racism, gender equality, class struggle, and more. CCL will provide a forum for students to explore new or familiar topics amongst their peers. As a group committed to social justice, we strive to cultivate an inclusive and educational space for student activism in practice.

These times of challenge, change, and growth underline the importance of being able to engage across difference. People realize the false security that comes with only hearing similar views, of whatever stripe. In the face of destructive polarization, what is needed is constructive engagement. Building on our work since 2004 in education, training, and research, the Conflict Engagement and Resolution Initiative offers resources to meet this need. We provide tools and training, as well as insights into the theory and research supporting successful constructive engagement. Our purpose is to increase the capacity for communities on and off campus to constructively engage and learn from others who differ in identity, ideology, and life experience.

We envision communities where learning about and sharing our differences creates a richer path forward.

We offer three types of resources to communities, starting with our DU campus: facilitated opportunities for constructive engagement, trainings in tools to convene and facilitate with confidence, and places (virtual and in-person) for learning about supportive theory and research for how and when to use various tools in the most effective ways.

Divest DU is a student activist organization mobilizing to demand that the university divest all of its endowment funds from the fossil fuel industry, with the goal of creating a more ethical, sustainable, and responsible investment portfolio. Divest DU organizes educational and community-focused campaigns, events, and outreach to promote divestment from the fossil fuel industry and protect students’ futures in the midst of climate breakdown. In our work, we recognize the intersection between climate justice, racial justice, and social justice more broadly and are committed to centering equity in our work. No experience necessary! The Clarion is a great way to improve your writing, photography, etc. We are flexible. We meet at 6 p.m. in the Academic or Community Commons room 340. But if that doesn't work for your schedule, email duclarioneditor@gmail.com. We will send the weekly pitch list, so you can still contribute. If you're having a particularly busy quarter, feel free to take a few weeks off and come back to us another time.

This is a great resume builder, especially if you study things like media, journalism, film, writing, business, political science, etc. There are also paid positions available. If you work hard for us, you may get the opportunity to apply for a staff position or internship.

The DU Pollination Associations purpose is to engage DU students in pollinator-related advocacy activities on and off DU's campus; to push students towards improving pollinator health and collaborate with organizations who share similar goals in the greater Denver community; to have hands-on support of projects that increase awareness about the current state of pollinators, their importance to the community, and what can be done to improve ability to fill their environmental roles. As feminist activists at The University of Denver, the Feminist Student Alliance seeks to empower undergraduate students through discussion, awareness, and action. We first and foremost believe in intersectional feminism. We recognize the racist, classist, and heterosexist roots of feminism and vow to do better. To create a space where all womxn's realities can be spoken. We define feminism in alignment with bell hooks as the belief that "every [person] can stand in political opposition to sexist, racist, heterosexist, and classist oppression" (hooks, Feminist Theory: from margin to center). We will work to make the university a more inclusive place through the creation of safe spaces, activism, and education regarding sex and gender-based issues.
We will advocate for higher quality safety measures for female students on campus, the availability of free feminine hygiene products in every female or gender-neutral restroom on campus and at the HCC, and more female-centered historical narratives in the DU curriculum. We will work with other organizations to educate students on female-centered issues such as sexual and reproductive health, gender violence, and gender stereotypes. During club activities, we will discuss feminist theory, read feminist texts, and analyze films through a feminist lens. We will educate club members on the roles of women in history. The Feminist Student Alliance aims to do these things and more are we strive to maintain an active presence on campus.

The DU Film Production Club will be a student run organization for aspiring filmmakers. Our goal is to write, shoot, edit, and screen original short films. Members of the DUFPC will work as a community on various short film projects. While Juniors and Seniors have access to film production classes, DU underclassmen have no place to meet and create with fellow aspiring filmmakers. This club will provide all DU students with the opportunity to work on real films with peers. By cultivating necessary filmmaking skills like writing a script, editing a clip, and working with a team, DUFPC members will be well prepared for their coursework as film majors. The DUFPC has the potential to spark some serious interest in the DU film program, as the club is open to any DU student with any major.
