Nominations for the Outstanding Student Organization and Outstanding Student Organization Advisor awards ask nominators to consider the following:
-How does the nominee demonstrate excellence in leadership to the University of Denver community?
-How does the nominee demonstrate excellence in service to the University of Denver community?
- How does the nominee exemplify and advance one of the dimensions of the 4-Dimensional Student Experience?
The Summit Award is one of the University of Denver's most prestigious awards. It is given annually to one faculty member, one staff member, and up to 10 graduating undergraduate and graduate students who best exemplify the spirit of the mission of University of Denver in their work on campus and in the Denver community. The Summit Award recognizes individuals for their continued efforts during their time at DU rather than just over the past year.
Recipients of this award exemplify the high peaks of the Summit, which are representative of a bold, purposeful, vision for a global future. They should also exemplify the entire of the mountain range, representing the unique, innovative perspective that transforms the University and Denver community.
Think of it as a lifetime achievement award for their time at DU!

Your department will handle all aspects of the awarding process- including nomination and selection of a winner.
The Office of Student Engagement will be creating small certificates for recipients that will be available for pick up at the Crimson & Gold Awards Event on May 23rd.
If your department recognizes award recipients with any additional certificates/plaques/mementos, we kindly ask that you (or your department) connect individually with the award recipient to ensure they receive that, as it will not be a coordinated effort with the Office of Student Engagement.
