The Commons Welcome Desk offers a variety of services to assist the DU community, alumni and members of the larger community while they are visiting the campus.

At the Community Commons Welcome Desk, RSOs can:

• Get flyers/posters approved for posting

• Pick up Amazon or Staples orders that have been placed

• Pick up/Check Out General RSO P-Cards (after request for checkout has been approved and scheduled)

• Pick up Tables/Chairs for tabling events (tables can be reserved through 25-Live)

• Rent Lawn Games

• Rent Outdoor Screen/Projector & Speakers

In addition to general event information, some of the other services offered are:

• Visitor Guides & Campus Maps

• Bus, Train, and University Shuttle Schedules

As good stewards of the Commons, respect for both personal and institutional property in the Global Kitchen is necessary. The following guidelines and procedures have been set forth regarding use of this space:

• The front door to the community kitchen area will remain unlocked during regular office hours.

• Kitchen counters should remain empty of ALL items unless the kitchen is in use. Any perishable items found on the counters or floor while the kitchen is not in use will be discarded.

• Toasters, coffee pots, and miscellaneous appliances should be clean if not in use.

• Always clean up after use. This includes dishes, service ware, silverware, countertops, sinks, microwave, cabinets and any other tool or surface after use.

• The refrigerator should only be used one day prior and during the day of your event.

• All items that are being stored in the refrigerator should be clearly marked with the following: Name of person(s)/department and Date when the items will be used

• Items cannot be stored in the refrigerator for more than one week. After one week, items will be discarded by the Building Manager each Friday.

• Any items that show signs of spoilage will be immediately discarded with no questions asked.

• Trash should be bagged and left in the kitchen.

• The reserving department will be responsible for any damages caused to the space.

• Please report any existing damage to the Welcome Desk before using the space.

• The Commons is not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen from the kitchen areas. Additionally, the Commons is not responsible for any food that spoils in the kitchen area or is discarded.

The Undergraduate Student Lounge is home the Creative Shelves, which are dedicated to student organizations' creative pursuits. The Creative Shelves offer free materials and supplies that student organizations are encouraged to utilize when working on projects and programming. These supplies include:

• Pens, pencils, highlighters, & markers

• Paints & paintbrushes

• Paper (colored, printer, card stock, etc.)

• Poster Board

• Hot glue gun, glue sticks, tape, etc.

• Paper clips, binder clips, rubber bands, etc.
